Your plan

Your 90 day plan to cut plastic, starting where it matters most.

A living plan you can work through and come back to. We keep the picks current as we test products and as recalls happen. Start at the top: the highest exposure, easiest wins come first.

Our approach

We do not tell you to replace everything.

Most guides hand you a hundred swaps and let you drown. We rank every change by how much it actually reduces your exposure and impact, so you start where it matters and skip what barely moves the needle. Where it helps, we give a pick for every budget, from the cheapest way in to the best. Every product is vetted on five fronts: formula, packaging, independent tests, lawsuits, and recalls, and we take no money from brands in exchange for a recommendation.

01

Ingestion

Food and water carry plastic straight into your gut. Heat and fat make it far worse.

Major route
02

Inhalation

Synthetic textiles, carpet, and household dust shed fibers into the air you breathe all day.

Major route
03

Skin

Personal care and some fabrics put plasticizers in contact with skin. A smaller route.

Why this plan starts in the kitchen.

What you eat and drink and what you breathe are the two biggest routes into your body, and heat is the single biggest multiplier on the food side. Hot food in plastic, microwaving, and hot drinks through plastic release far more than the same plastic cold. We start in the kitchen and your water because those swaps are the cheapest and highest certainty wins, then move to the air you breathe in Phase 2. Watch for the Heat driven tag on the swaps that matter most.

Two ways to go further

Want more than the general plan?

Science first

Help fund independent testing.

This plan is free. The lab testing behind our recommendations is not. We test everyday products for heavy metals, plastics, and hidden chemicals and publish every result openly. Contribute any amount to keep it going.
