Is that product a skip or a good choice?
Type any product or brand and get a straight answer, drawn from independent lab tests, recalls, lawsuits, ingredients, and materials. No marketing spin.
How the verdicts work
Three outcomes, one bar for each. Nothing is scored on packaging claims.
Materials, certifications, or independent testing back it up. What we would actually buy.
Fine in some situations, with real caveats: one line to avoid, mixed test results, or an open question.
Failed independent testing, named in a recall or lawsuit, or built from materials we steer away from.
Stop leaving the store to look things up.
Searching this page works, but it means switching tabs mid-cart. The extension puts the same verdict on the Amazon page you are already reading, while the Add to Cart button is still on screen.
Skip, Careful, or Good Choice appears right on Amazon search results and product listings. No copy-pasting brand names.
One line on the actual problem, whether a lead result, a PTFE coating, or an open class action, linked to the article it came from.
When something is a Skip, it shows the better alternative from our research, so you are not left abandoning the cart.
No account. No affiliate links. Verdicts come from our published research, bundled with the extension.
Where this comes from
Every verdict is drawn from our own published research, citing independent lab testing, product recalls, class actions, ingredient labels, and material disclosures. Each result links to the article it came from so you can read the full reasoning.
Brands we have not reviewed yet can be run through the same checks on demand, or requested for a free hand review by our team.
This is general information to help you shop, not a legal or medical claim about any company.
Common questions
Is Product Check free?
Yes. Searching the database of 950+ reviewed brands is free, with no account. If we have not reviewed a brand yet, you can run an instant automated check (packs start at $5 for 20 checks) or request a free hand review, usually answered within 2 business days.
Where do the verdicts come from?
Every verdict is drawn from our published research, which cites independent lab testing from sources like Consumer Reports, Lead Safe Mama, and Valisure, along with product recalls, class actions, ingredient labels, and material disclosures. Each result links to the article behind it.
What do Skip, Careful, and Good Choice mean?
Good Choice means materials, certifications, or independent testing back the product up. Careful means it is fine in some situations but comes with real caveats, like one line to avoid or mixed test results. Skip means it failed independent testing, was named in a recall or lawsuit, or is built from materials we steer away from.
Do brands pay to be listed or rated?
No. There is no paid inclusion and no sponsored placement. Some Good Choice results include affiliate links, and they never influence a verdict: plenty of brands we earn nothing from rate Good Choice, and brands we could earn from rate Skip.
How is this different from the browser extension?
Same verdicts, different place. This page works in any browser on any device. Our free Chrome extension shows the verdict directly on Amazon search results and product pages while you shop, so you do not have to switch tabs.
